Livelihood and Food Security

Protect Watershed

Increase Biodiversity

Increase Forest Cover
North Negros Natural Park:
The North Negros Natural Park was established by legislation in 1946 to protect more than 100,000 hectares of virgin forest. This reserve was later reduced, and then totally ignored, so that in 1996 only 9,900 hectares of virgin forest (10%) of the original reserve remains.
Now is the time!!
It is home to endangered species such as Visayan spotted deer, Visayan warty pig, Visayan hornbill, and several dipterocarps or hardwood tree species that contribute to the amazing biodiversity of the forest

Our story:
This is our island, our home. We are committed to caring the forest because it belongs to us alone. The Tabi Po will partner with the local community to protect the North Negros Natural Park, their traditional knowledge in forest management while also fostering sustainable livelihoods, food security, and reducing rural poverty.
"Tabi Po" translates to "excuse us" or "may I pass?" in Tagalog, a phrase used to show respect to the spirits residing in nature, in trees and brushland. We believe that nature deserves reverence and should have rights. It is essential to return to traditional belief that nature is dynamic, alive, and worthy of our admiration and protection.
